Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup White Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter melted
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup

For The Coating

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a donut pan with nonstick spray.
  • Whisk wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, egg, granulated sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
1 cup apple cider, 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, 1/4 cup White Granulated Sugar, 1/2 cup Butter, 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract, 2 tbsp Maple Syrup, 2 eggs
  • Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, etc.—add your specific dry ingredients here).
2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp salt
  • Mix the batter: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Fill the pan: Spoon or pipe the batter evenly into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
  • Cool slightly: Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5–10 minutes before removing them.
  • Make cinnamon sugar coating: In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
1 cup sugar, 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • Coat the donuts: While the donuts are still slightly warm (but not hot), gently dip or roll each one in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  • Cool completely: Place coated donuts on a wire rack and allow them to cool completely before serving.
