Notes

Storage Tips For This Recipe

  1. Store at Room Temperature: These treats can be kept at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Make sure they’re fully set before storing to avoid them becoming too sticky.
  2. Use Parchment Paper: When stacking the treats in a container, place a layer of parchment paper between each layer to prevent them from sticking together.
  3. Keep Them Cool, Not Cold: While it’s fine to store them at room temperature, avoid placing them in direct sunlight or a warm area, as the chocolate drizzle may start to melt. Keep them in a cool, dry place.
  4. Refrigeration Option: If you need to store them for longer (up to a week), you can refrigerate the treats. Just be sure to bring them back to room temperature before serving, as the texture can become firmer when chilled.
  5. Freeze for Longer Storage: For longer storage, freeze the treats! Wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. They can stay frozen for up to a month. Thaw in the fridge or at room temperature before enjoying.

Common FAQ's For This Recipe

  • Can I use regular Rice Krispies instead of Cocoa Pebbles?
    • Yes, you can! While Cocoa Pebbles add a delicious chocolate flavor, regular Rice Krispies will work just as well. If you still want a chocolate flavor, you could add a little extra cocoa powder to the marshmallow mixture.
  • Can I use fresh strawberries instead of freeze-dried strawberries?
    • It’s best to use freeze-dried strawberries in this recipe to avoid adding too much moisture, which could make the treats soggy. If you prefer fresh strawberries, be sure to dry them thoroughly before using, or chop them into very small pieces to reduce excess moisture.
  • What if I don’t have mini marshmallows?
    • No worries! You can use regular marshmallows instead. Just chop them into smaller pieces to ensure they melt evenly with the rest of the mixture.
